# Chikyu Earth 地球 — A line-drawn globe for the web > Chikyu Earth 地球 — A line-drawn globe for the web: country outlines that turn at the Earth's own rate, centred on where you are, with an optional realistic Earth from space (three.js), the Sun, Moon and planets, satellites on their orbits, and markers for any place. A web component and an SVG string. Install with `npm install @johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth`. Every page below is also an HTML page at the same address ending in .html; the documentation's home is https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/. The examples on the reference pages are run when the site is built, and what they print is shown under them. ## Guides - [Getting started](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/getting-started.md): Put a globe on a page, centre it, and let the reader turn it, in about five minutes. - [In a plain HTML page, from a CDN](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/html-and-cdn.md): Add the globe to any page with one script tag from jsDelivr or unpkg, and the realistic Earth the same way. - [With a bundler: Vite, webpack and ES modules](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/bundlers.md): Install the package and import the element in a Vite or webpack project, or in any ES module setup. - [In React, Vue, Svelte and Angular](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/frameworks.md): Use the globe in React, Vue, Svelte and Angular, with the import that keeps a server render working. - [Embed it with an iframe](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/embed-in-an-iframe.md): Put the globe in any page with one iframe and no script, and choose what it shows in the address. - [TypeScript, Node and servers](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/typescript-and-node.md): Use the package's types, draw the globe as an SVG string on a server, and render pages that include it. - [The realistic Earth and markers](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/realistic-and-markers.md): Show the Earth from space and mark any place on either globe, with the budgets that keep both light. - [Satellites on the globe](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/satellites.md): Show the ISS, the space stations or thousands of Starlink satellites on the space view from orbital elements your page supplies, with the rules for getting them and the budget that keeps it light. - [Riding along with a satellite or a planet](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/ride-along.md): Put the camera on the ISS, a Starlink satellite, the Moon or a planet and look at the Earth from there, with the Earth turning and sliding beneath as it goes, under a budget that keeps it light. - [The real Sun, planets, Pluto and moons](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/the-real-planets.md): Draw the Sun, the planets, Pluto and their moons in the space view with wakusei-planets, in a realistic or a painted look, with one WebGL context for the page. - [How it stays light](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/how-it-works.md): What the globe draws, when, and the limits it keeps so a page with it never works the processor for nothing. - [Architecture](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/architecture.md): How the flat globe, the Earth from space, the markers and the space view fit together, which parts are pure, and which are optional. - [Troubleshooting and questions](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/troubleshooting.md): Why nothing appears, why the browser asks for the location, and the errors people meet in frameworks and on servers. - [Upgrading](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/guides/upgrading.md): What changed between versions and what to do about it. The package is 0.x: read this before a minor version. ## Reference - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/element](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/element/index.md): The element - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/realistic](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/realistic/index.md): The realistic Earth's pure parts - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/realistic/element](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/realistic-element/index.md): The element - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/markers](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/markers/index.md): Markers on the globe - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/space](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/space/index.md): The Sun, Moon and planets: pure parts - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/space/element](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/space-element/index.md): The element - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth/satellites](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/satellites/index.md): Satellites: orbital elements in, positions out - [@johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/api/main/index.md): The globe as an SVG string ## Optional - [Changelog](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/docs/changelog.md): every release - [Every export, in full](https://johnmorrisdotca.github.io/chikyu-earth/llms-full.txt) - [Source](https://github.com/johnmorrisdotca/chikyu-earth)
