Where it stands follows the sources: the 200-foot rink is roughly centered length-wise across first and third bases and stretched along a second-to-third-base axis, so its middle is drawn halfway between first and third, with its length turned to run from third base toward second. Part of the rink, 26 percent of its area, lies outside the outline of Fenway Park. A ballpark's outline is the fair ground inside the fence, so a surface over the infield reaches into foul ground.
